Rev. Raymond McKever Jr. (Remus) was born in Bryan, Texas on December 9, 1934 to Mary Lee Preston and Raymond McKever Sr.
Rev. McKever grew up in Bryan/College Station, where he attended public school.
Rev. McKever recieved Christ at an early age and united with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He started preaching God's word under the leadership and guidance of Rev. Monroe Woods at Carter Chapel C.M.E. in Lubbock, Texas.
He was a "Jack of all Trades". He loved to cook, work on cars, fences, yards, shined boots, and the list goes on...
He loved people and was loved by all that knew him. His work for the Lord was his greatest passion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Preston and his father, Raymond McKever Sr.
He leaves to cherish the memories of his life: 1 daughter, DeAnnettia Holt-White of Rowlett, Texas; 3 sons, Raymond L. McKever III of Dallas, Texas, Curtis Woods of Bryan, Texas, Earl Ray Woods of Bryan, Texas. 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Mitchell, LeDarienne McKever, Roman Holt, Kortlin Holt, Kristan Holt, Robert Earl Woods, Taya Woods, Curtis Jr., Darrell Foley, and Curtisha Foley. 2 special friends, Presiding Elder Nance of Tahoka, Texas and Cynthia Lemons of Pampa Texas. A host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
